Summary : Bing Design is clean and simple. Search results could cause frustration unless user is searching for news specifically.
Mobile | iPhone | Android | Bing
Bing has somehow come to a standstill. Bing Search results very well for users and the UI has a clean esthetic comforting users as they do their search. There is some issue to where users land on the results and see 3 news topics ahead of their search. This could cause some frustration with users searching for specifics. The news and search results look very similar, if not exact. Bing should separate these 2 so that users know which is news and their results they are searching.
When you visit Bing Desktop, at times you can see a beautiful scene animated in a way which you wonder, “how is that done”. A professional designer I worked with at Microsoft made these during one of his contracts at Bing in Bellevue. These HTML5 animated images are called “Cinemagraphs”. These are mobile-ready and having experimented with these images on my mobile is fascinating. Bing should move into this step. there are no more blackberries out there so why is Bing restricting this design from the user!? Im a little disappointed in Bing for not going to the length of showing off their fancy design. Its doable. Why not!?
