Where are you located?
We work from 2 locations: Tokyo and Seattle. Our main office is in Seattle, Washington. Our additional branch is located in Tokyo.
What other locations do you provide your services?
Besides Tokyo and Seattle, we provide our services worldwide. We are able to meet in-person when needed in the continental United States and Japan while working on projects at our Seattle and Tokyo locations.
Why do you work for both the American and the Japanese mobile industries?
For many reasons. Mostly, the MobileDesign.com team first met in Tokyo and is the origin of our company. We worked in the mobile industry in Tokyo designing and developing intuitive projects currently in the market. Another reason is that Tokyo and Seattle are the breeding grounds for mobile designs and trends. This helps us keep designs and our services in-check with trend demands.
How does my company get started in discussing your mobile ui/ux designing services?
Simple contact us and we can either come to your location or meet for a cup of coffee…our treat :-) We conduct business in both Tokyo and Seattle so we can meet you in either cities.?
How do you conduct business in two separate countries?
We at MobileDesign.com hold certain statuses in Japan, Canada and the United States. Taxes are filed separately in each country depending on where your company is established and conducts business. If Amazon Japan requests our services, taxes and filing will be done there as well as employment compensation. If Amazon USA requests our services, taxes and filing will be done on the United States side. We can do our designing from anywhere in the world as long as we continue filing our taxes in the appropriate country.
Which is more difficult to launch a mobile website?
Culturally and technically, Japan is the most difficult. Not only are we faced with rules and regulations conducted by Docomo, AU and Softbank (the big 3 mobile carriers in Japan), but also social requirements. Japanese are structured conciously as a group and not individually as the west. When a project or design is introduced from a company outside of Japan, it may be declined regardless of how wonderful it may be. To penetrate such structure takes an experienced company such as ours to assist in this challenge.
